spiritual you

Simplified Magick

Have you ever sat down to perform a simple ritual only to realize you forgot an important ingredient? I used to get upset about not finding the right herb or the perfect color of candles, but over time I have come to one very clear conclusion. If your intent is pure, all you really need is you. But, if you still need to add a little boost to your ritual I have created a list of common items you most likely already have in or around your home.

The elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. They're all around you.

White candles: colors are nice, but white can be used for any purpose.

Black candle: good to repel negativity, but not the only way to do so.

Sandalwood stick or cone incense: a multipurpose, if generic, ritual scent.

Wand: nothing fancy or jewel encrusted needed. Walk into a forest or inspect your yard for a fallen branch. You'll know when your wand has found you.

Your spice cabinet: Chances are you have a very powerful plant right under your nose.
Basil- love, exorcism, wealth. flying, protection,
Rosemary- protection, love, lust, mental powers, exorcism, youth, sleep, healing.
Thyme- health, healing, sleep, psychic powers.
Cloves- protection, love, money, exorcism.
Cinnamon- love, protection, lust, spirituality, success, healing, power, psychic power, and lust.
Chamomile (tea bags)- money, love, sleep, protection.

Above all else, relax and let the power you naturally possess move through you and allow you to merge with The Goddess.
