why did I create a fanlisting for this movie?
I was up late one night and happened to be flipping through the millions of channels cable television has to offer in this technological age. Suddenly, I saw two beautiful girls who looked very much in love with each other as they laughed together on my tv screen. They were innocent and honest in every sense of the words and they made me smile. I continued to watch the story unfold and was sucked into the moving pictures as Paulie tried desperately to make Tori come back to her. I felt her pain and wished I could help her. I also wanted to help Tori understand that love is more important than what your friends and family think.
One of the major reasons I enjoyed this movie was for the shear fact that it was not about two gay girls. It was about two people who loved each other but who's relationship was a bit socially unacceptable - or starcrossed. There were no agendas to be understood, only a sense of pure, raw emotion. Afterall, as Paulie says "Love just is." This movie reeks with the kind of love that leaves you gutted and bleeding and it does so with intelligence.
