Welcome to The *All New* Twilight As I was watching the repeat of 'Tabula Rasa' tonight, I found myself thinking of a rather deep question, perhaps something that has been weighing on the minds of the Buffy-watching-public for sometime now. Just exactly when did Xander Harris (Nick Brendan) start gaining so much weight? Now, don't get me wrong, I love Xander, his quirkiness has me laughing every episode, but he has become somewhat of a fatty recently. He looked pretty normal in 'Tabula Rasa' tonight, so I was trying to pinpoint at which point this season he blew up. I heard that Nick got married this year. Maybe the comfort of married life has brought along some extra poundage, I know it happened to my hubby. Well, hopefully next season will find Xander back to his gorgeous physique and without Anya. I'm still hoping he'll try hooking up with Buffy again. Afterall, he is the only guy who's loved her and didn't leave. Oh wait, there's Spike, but he's got that whole evil issue. Now, you know Joss is loving the fact that the entire Buffy watching public is sitting at home wondering which world was real. I thought the episode was fantastic and all of the underlying emotion kept me glued to my tube. What I found most interesting was that Spike (symbolizing darkness and confusion) led Buffy to question the world that is Sunnydale, while Joyce (symbolizing love and goodness) led Buffy to believe what she knew in her heart was true all along. I think maybe this is just another demonstration of Buffy's inner turmoil that has plaqued her since she was reanimated. This entire season has been about Buffy struggling to remember who she was and taking comfort in anything she can. Eyelight | 3/12/2002 I'm still working on getting Twilight up and running.
