Save the Net

January 5, 2005

Have you ever just been bored to death by the net? It's so frustrating to get some time away from everyday bs to play around only to find nothing to do but bitch about there being nothing to do.

This is probably going to sound a bit odd, but I have been quilting lately. Actually, I am almost finished with my first quilt ever. Now, you might be asking yourself why I would choose such a hobbie as this one to spend my time doing. I know it seems these things are mostly for grandmothers, but hear me out. I have wondered upon something called art quilting and fell in love with it. I can not say I am ready to start creating complex designs like those found at but I am hoping to hone my skills and see what happens someday. Basically, these modern quilts are masterpieces. They resemble paintings and even have elements of abstract detail that I like to add to my digital collages. I think they are simply amazing. I just have this urge to do anything creative... any medium is fine with me so long as I can acheive the results I want. So, I'm not ready to be a granny yet.
