General Site Updates

Okay, so Fragile Muse is gone... not to worry though - you can still enter the Challenge on this page. Look in the center column. Those of you that entered the last series of challenges at FM, I will get the awards out to you asap.

Also, the brush section may be down for a few hours since I am having upload troubles. Actually I can only upload html files and the brush page is a php file. Weird huh? I don't know...

I'm currently doing some fine tuning to this design as well. Speaking of the design, I recieved a question about it in the guestbook. The question basically was why don't I have any templates like the designs you can find on my site... Well, because I want the site to be original all the time and not look like anyone elses. If I put out a template like this particular design then there would be mass produced carbon copies of it everywhere. So, thanks for the question, but I won't be making this design available any time soon. Sometimes when I get sick of a design I make it into a template. So it may happen someday.

Changes...

I am thinking seriously of closing Fragile Muse. I didn't want to, but it seems I have no motivation anymore. I don't want it to lag off into cyberspace unattended. So, this is the compromise I came up with for myself... I will post regular challenges here on this site. This way I can just add a page or two here and there and not have to worry about regular updates to FM. I like this idea especially since 1ge gets a lot or regular traffic from graphic artists. I think the challenges will get a better response. What do you guys think?

Thursday Threesome

Yeah, so I've resorted to memes. My brain simply isn't functioning lately. Hopefully, this site is at least semi-entertaining still.

Todays Meme: Thursday Threesome

Onesome- Beginnings: Are there any television shows out there that you've watched regularly from the very beginning? Or for those of you not into TV, any book authors that you've read from the very beginning?

This is were my geek starts to shine through... Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Mad Mad House, and Star Trek Voyager. I'm so proud.

Books: Linda Lael Miller's Vampire Series, Marion Zimmer Bradley's Avalon Series, and anything else by LLM, Nora Roberts, and Jude Devereux.

Twosome- Middles: What about shows that you came into in the middle of the season but immediately grabbed your attention and turned you into a die-hard fan? Again, for non-TV fans, have you ever begun reading a series of books in the middle and then just had to read everything else in the series?

Hmmm... this one is a toughy for me since I don't watch a lot of shows other than the ones I just mentioned. X-files is one I simply enjoy and I also like Xena, Hercules, and Sliders. Can you tell I watch the Sci-Fi Channel a lot.

Books: See above answer

Threesome- And Ends: Recently, a number of big name shows have ended, Friends, Fraiser, The Drew Carey Show, and the cult hit, Angel. Did you watch any of the big finales? Have you ever been really sad to see a show go? Ok, readers, here's one for you. Have you ever read the end of a book first? Why? ;)

I watched Angel and Buffy like it was my job. https://1greeneye.net/pixels/smilie.gif I was completely depressed when Buffy ended. There may have actually been tears. I watched the Angel finale last night and I have decided that if Joss Whedon does not make a movie of some kind he will get hate mail from me. Love ya Joss, but you can't end an entire show with a cliffhanger and not expect people to go "What the...?" Oh, and the Friends finale... that show jumped the shark after Rachel had the baby, so I wasn't too sad to see it end. It was great for a while, but I lost interest.

International Pickle Week

Did you know this week is international pickle week? I love pickles - I mean REALLY love them. I have to have a pickle in every bite of my cheeseburger. Anyway, this is still funny to me.

Just A Quick Note

I just wanted to say that I am back home, but not really ready to talk much... so updates may be few for a while. (I have played with the layout already though. It's like therapy for me...) My Papa crossed last Monday just before midnight. We were very close and the loss has been very hard on my family. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I promise I will try to get back to normal soon.

Out of Town

FYI - I will be out of town and away from my PC for at least a week. My grandfather is very sick. I will try and keep updating the blog from another PC while I am gone. Take care all and keep on creating.

Warning: Bordom Leads to Pixel Art

So, you know when you can't sleep, but you really don't want to do anything constructive - i.e. something that needs to be done? Of course you do. During those hours of sloth-like boredom I've been making these stupid pixel things. They seem to be addictive and they quelch the boredom of insomnia... so I guess they're my friend. Here are a few tiny smilies. You can have them if you like, though I would really appreciate a link back if you use them in your blog or something.
